Whatever the Result

Obviously, I want a miracle to happen and wake up tomorrow with John McCain being President-elect of this great country. But, since that is a long shot at this point, looking forward, it's good to remember that God is in control. No matter who is President, He is the one that has the plan, has the promise of salvation and provides all that we truly need.

I read this verse this morning as I sat in line at my polling precinct:

Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth
Serve the LORD with fear
and rejoice with trembling.
- Psalm 2:10-11

And we know from Romans 13:1-7 that there is no authority that God hasn't allowed to come into power. So, with the gift of free will we are able to elect our authorities, and then live under the consequences rule. I personally want to live under the rule of a conservative with values similar to mine, but that is unlikely at this point.

So, I will sit back and watch Obama try to fulfill all the promises he's made. He'll have 4 years to make good, then the American people can tell him what they think about his version of "change."

And unless the comeback kid can pull it off tonight...we are in for one heck of a dose of radical change.

Yes, competence will be a pretty radical change, compared to the last eight years.
