If it really worked, I'd be married since I love being in the kitchen before and after meals. But then again, I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to noticing someone noticing me, so that may explain things.
To me, that one on one time with someone in the kitchen means a lot. It is just a way of saying thank you for the hard work they put in to prepare for everyone. In some cases it gives me a chance to take the reigns so that someone else can relax for a bit.
I get a really awkward feeling when I see someone in the kitchen and I'm not in there helping.
