Keeping Tradition

The annual girl's weekend. A thing of beauty if you ask me. Or maybe necessity.

A weekend where 4 friends travel from different parts of the eastern seaboard to spend several days together. Where 3 of those friends leave husbands behind to fend for themselves. Where there is an abundance of cheese dip, sipping Marissachinos on the porch, TALKING, late nights, hysterical laughter, reminiscing, excessive picture taking (courtesy of moi), scary singalongs in the car, and laying on the beach reading magazines. Where it feels like no time has passed at all, and we can pick up right where we left off.

We intend to keep this tradition moving forward, but seeing how Shannon is 4 months preggers, this was our last trip where all the participants weren't mommies. Congrats again Eric and Shay!

1 beach house on Edisto Island, SC: $0 (thanks Aunt Amy!)
1 bottle of Parrot Bay that was leftover from last year's trip: $0
1 car ride through the ghetto of Charleston with Lindsay yelling "sketchy!": $0
1 episode of Katie swatting lovebugs away when they were getting way too friendly: $0
1 long weekend of memories and good times: priceless

Evidence of my obsession with taking pictures...
