Southern Suggestions: Christmas Seasonings

The Christmas version of Southern Suggestions. Fa-la-la-la!

• William's-Sonoma Mulling Spices - These make the whole house smell amazing, is easy to make by adding it to some store-bought cider in a pot on the stove, and is lovely on a cold afternoon or as an after-dinner treat for your dinner party guests with a little Amaretto added in.

• White-Chocolate Cherry Shortbread Cookies - something different than the heavy dark chocolate and peanut butter options over the holidays.

• Christmas Tree Spray - I've had a fake Christmas tree from the time it was going to be just me setting up a tree, and it's been a lot easier than trying to get a fresh tree in, set up in a stand and then removed. To make up for the lack of lovely tree scent, Aromatique's "Scent of the Tree" room spray is awesome.
