On Tuesday we received a notice that we were having an all staff meeting where Andy would be making an announcement.

We were asked to gather Thursday morning for a simulcast meeting to hear the big announcement.

Andy shared with us that he had been contacted by president-elect Obama's office to be a part of the National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral. And his reason for joining in this service since as a church we have remained very non-political?

Andy prays for the President of the United States.
Andy asks us as a staff to pray for the President.
Andy is going to pray for the President in front of the President.

He will be reading a prayer that has a part of the service since George Washington was sworn in.
