Change is here!

It's a bit unreal to me that I've been working on staff at Buckhead Church for almost two years (this spring). One of the things that I enjoy most is working with baptisms.

We film our testimonies, then air them in the main service and dunk the person after their video has played. It's a great way for them to share their story in Christ, and it's not often that you will find a church this large that will allow the time for each individual to tell their personal journey. I have evolved in my role to be the producer for these videos and we finally had the opportunity to change up our format and shoot the videos in a new style.

We now have two cameras, are filming in HD on one of those, and are incorporating B-roll in there as well. I think the B-roll is my favorite part. Too often, even the most laid-back, jovial person will stiffen up, and recite their story from memory without revealing anything of their true personality, or joy over Christ being their personal Savior. That was an element we were definitely missing.

We aired the new format this past Sunday, with some positive feedback. Here is one of those videos, Larry Gellar. Once you've finished watching you can go to the Buckhead Church channel on Vimeo to see the others.

So, what do you think??

Loved it. Such a good job Melissa! I cried, but I usually cry when people get baptized so that's nothing new.
