Diagnosis

As many of you know already, my sweet Daddy has been diagnosed with a malignant form of cancer. He has had surgery to remove one tumor that showed up on his neck (which was why he first started looking into all of this) but it is not the originating cancer. The next step is to find the original tumor and if there are any more. There is a 15-20% chance that they will not find the original tumor, but if they do, they will perform surgery to remove what they can and then the next step is radiation and chemo. His Oncologist is optimistic, and so is my father. He is in great physical shape from starting a workout routine a year ago (you never know how being in shape will pay off!). My mother is up in Philly with him, and they will stay up there since they are getting in to the top specialists as a result of the influence of the man who owns the company my father is running. Brad is going to try to visit from California soon, and we will probably all meet in Philly to have time together over Columbus weekend, which is Brad's 24th birthday, and will be a good reason to celebrate and enjoy our visit.

Your prayers are appreciated and I am so thankful for them. My father's faith is the centerpiece of his peace right now, and his assurance that whatever the earthly outcome of this scary time, that it will be right with God's will and no matter that it could be painful, that ultimately God is bigger than all of this, and will carry us through.
